I want to buy the mANTBox ax 15s because it is dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and supports Wi-Fi 6. However, I am having doubts because of what I have read saying that its dBm power output is weak. I want to know if this issue has already been fixed, because I want to upgrade, but based on what I have read, I am still unsure. This will only be used for Wi-Fi connections for phones, PCs, and laptops. I have also seen and read that only a few devices are able to connect to its Wi-Fi
Hi,
what bothers you particulary?
dBm is dBm. What was said? That the real power does not meet the declared one or if an antenna seems to be not as good as it was expected?
It's hard to answer to "was it fixed" as we do not know what should be fixed. or if it should be "fixed" at all.
What is it going to replace? Why is a replacement required? Why the mANTBox ax 15s and not i.e. the wAP AX? I think the regulations are more strict than the maximum power it can transmit.
And in regards to your assumptions, please share the sources.
some other forum its only 7dbm max. it should 29dbm
Can you expand your criptic post?
what 7dBm vs 29dBM meas? Measured? How mesured? Can you quote that "saying"? Did you check official datasheet? Did you ask the support for help?

Mudmen.
I have 24 of the mANTBox ax 15s deployed to cover an outdoor campground in the US. I personally have used my Tik wAP ax as a outdoor wifi repeater for my camper 500 feet away from the mANTBox ax15s. In effect, the mANTBox ax15s is the AP, and the wAP ax is a client of the mANTBox ax15s and an AP for the wifi clients in my camper.
5GHz is a bit weaker at a distance but cleaner spectrum. 2.4GHz is reaches a bit further but the spectrum is much more noisy when it’s crowded (i.e. lots of wifi clients). I configure the wAP ax to use 5GHz when there are a lot of wifi clients.
can you take screenshot how much the max dbm of 5ghz and 2.5ghz?
how many client connected?
what routeros firmware installed?
i saw this I'm curious
If this comment was intended as a reply to my comment, I’ve seen 50-60 clients connected at the same time. I’m currently running RouterOS 7.19.4 on them.
I’m not sure what you mean by a screenshot of the max dBm. Can you post your screenshot showing what you’re looking for? My mantbox AX units are managed by CAPSMan so it may look different.
The 500 feet, roughly 150 meters, you report are over a connection between two "fixed" devices, the "merit" of the successful connection Is to be shared among the two devices.
If - instead of the wap Ax - you try to connect to the Mantbox with a normal phone or laptop from the same distance the connection - if any - will be much slower and less reliable, simply because the phone or laptop won't have the same TX Power as the wAP and likely RX sensitivity will be lower.
