Hello!
I have 2 mAntbox 15 AX devices. Distance: 410 m. Optical view is perfect!
My goal is a fast network, but if I use a 5 GHz network, the network stops for a few seconds. The ping command is also available. When using Teams, it’s more than annoying, it’s useless. If it works, the speed is about 300 MBit. No problem at 2.4 GHz frequency! That’s slow. I tried to set the frequency but I can’t. Only accepts between 5500 and 5720. It cannot be set to the UNII-2 section, due to an Unsupported channels error.

Why can you tear me up? Why can’t I set a frequency?
Thanks
Tom
Hi,
It appears that you might have trouble setting up the frequency ranges on Mikrotik devices.
Based on your mention of U-NII-2 I’m guessing you’re from the USA.
It is always recommended to check what channels are permitted with what transmit power for your country.
For the USA it would look like this:
[admin@AX3_Main] > /interface/wifi/radio/reg-info country=“United States” 0
ranges: 2402-2472/30
5170-5250/30
5250-5330/24/dfs
5490-5730/24/dfs
5735-5895/30
Based of this you can set your frequency range to either specific frequencies or a frequency range which the device can then auto select the channel.
The help article describes this perfectly:
https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/WiFi#WiFi-Channelproperties
On your screenshot it actually only shows U-NII-2 channels.
But if youd for example only wanted the frequency range that appears to have barely any load on your screenshot you’d set it to something like:
5580-5720
Similar with this:

Also keep in mind to check your logs. It should mention why the connection drops
