mAP 2n USB power reset

I just got a couple of mAP 2n units delivered an I started to configure them immediately. According to this WIKI (http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:USB_Features) it should have USB power reset capabilities.

I use this command:
/system routerboard usb power-reset duration=5s

Result in this output:
ERROR: USB power reset not implemented on this hardware

I use ROS 6.20. How do I use the power reset reature on this RB model?

Johan

it has powered USB but it doesn’t have usb power reset function.

I can see that someone have changed the WIKI today. I am almost 100% sure that this pdf contained information about USB power reset a few weeks ago, you must have changed it? http://i.mt.lv/routerboard/files/mAP-140908144858.pdf

I guess I am screwed, no way to do a power reset of my USB 3G modem?

Johan

Does the modem respond to AT commands when you want to reset it?

Don´t know that. This problem have never occured when I have the equipment in the office. When put in the field the 3G connection is my only option to remote control. I use a watchdog to reboot the system after 5 minuter without Internet connection. I have appr 10 RB411U that all have this problem, but how often this occur varies (some system loose connection every day, some once a month). I have to recycle power manually to get the system running again. I also have appr 40 PC Eniges ALIX boards running ROS, they don´t have this problem. My goal is to find a small, inexpensive, RouterBOARD without this problem. I only need 1USB and 1Eth, no WIFI needed.
