on my mAP 2nD, I created a L2TP client and I successfully connected it to a VPN server. Now, on the mikrotik router, if I open the “IPsec” section and go in the “Peers” tab, I see a dynamic entry concerning my public server. In the detail of this entry, I see that the “Auth. Method” is “pre shared key”. How can I modify the configuration in order to have “pre shared key xauth”?
On an Android smartphone, I can simply select “IPSec Xauth PSK” during the configuration of the VPN client. Is there a way to do something similar on the mAP?
The only method I found to do what I need is to manually create a peer in the “Peers” section with the “pre shared key xauth” authentication method and to delete the original entry. However, if I reboot the router, the original dynamic entry is restored, so the “pre shared key” authentication method is used.
