mAP Lite positioning

Hi,

I know this is a stupid question but how should the mAP Lite sit?, vertically or horizontally?

Being an integrated omnidirectional antenna (2 chains), it will have a specific polarization and the “donut” will be more efficient horizontally or vertically.

Being so small, there is no real difference, as you won’t be using it for big distances anyway.

Excellent! There was a difference and you were correct.
Horizontal gives about 2m more range, so probably 6m in total! Only kidding.
All MT wi-fi is terrible anyway so knowing the best way to get the most out of them is useful. I’ve got 2 of these for testing and even used 1 for a year or so. Quite useful and cheap. So despite poor wi-fi, they do have cheapness going for them :wink:
