Map status with maps containing only sub maps

I’m running version 4.2

I know this may be a bit confusion but here we go.

I want the main map to show status of maps bellow it even if all they contain is maps

I have a map that contains 3 sub maps (A, B and C). In one of the sub maps (A) it has two more sub maps (D and E) that contain devices.

The 2 lowest level maps (D and E) show status when looking at them on Map (A) but the main map which shows sub map A does not show status for map (A) because all it contains is sub maps and no devices.

Main MAP (A B C)
Map A >
Map D and E >
Devices


How do I get a map to show status of all of its sub maps if it contains no devices.

There are others who have requested this feature, there is not a workaround that I know of.
