Map2nd - Help with setting up as a AP between wlan and eth ports

Hi all. I hope, some will help me.

I bought small Map2nd for simply remote connection to device (PLC, HMI, etc) through Wifi.
I chose it for perfect voltage range. ( 12-24V ).
I did try setting it intuitive but device not working correctly.
What i need:
Wifi ( wlan1 ) which will be switching both eth.port between eth1, eth2 and wlan1.
PC -> MAP ( connection over Wifi / DHCP ).
MAP -> Devices - Over static IP - 192.168.127.x

I know, looks like simply but i need little help else i burning it. Many thanks. :slight_smile:

Do not use RouterOS 7

Use WinBox by MAC address, not IP,
check if work

if not work or you are not able to use WinBox with MAC address, do not proceed.

Do a full reset without the defaults

Create one bridge,
put on bridge ether1, ether2 and wlan1

add dhcp-client on bridge

set wlan1 accordingly your country / channel / ssid and set password on default security profile

done, you have one access-point with 2 ports.

Hi, many thnks for your answer but didnt working. First i did download WinBox and install it.
Reseting Map2 to factory default ( holding button and reconnecting power then release it when USR led start flashing). I found Map2nd throught WinBox, logged in and then i did those:
-Clear default settings
-Create Bridge and added eth1, eth2, wlan1.
-Ipv4-> adding DHCP Client for Bridge.
-Setting wlan1 ( which profile for wirelless is good for this ? I used “Ap bridge” )

  • Connecting to the Wifi is ok but cant possible to ping any IP.
    Later i did try add IP for eth1 and eth2 - same.

You didn't follow exactly what I wrote (whether it was written correctly or not),
so it's obvious you got an invalid result.

And also,
is there a separate router that assigns the IPs?
Or does the mAP have to assign the IPs to the network?
If the DHCP client doesn't work in the mAP, obviously nothing else will work either,
because mAP do not have any IP.

Hi. Thanks for answer. I did try setting MaP exactly what you did wrote, step by step. May i did some mistake, dont know. Devices on the LAN network has static ip, always. But sometimes is needed modify range of IP.

I used a old tplink until now, where setting was been a few seconds matter and working.
