"Marketing" request for winbox

Hi,

I want to change a little the data of Winbox window.

Can you make editable name of the board? With almost 7 or 10 chars?

It can be:
default value: RBname or
editable value.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx on “RB450G”

in winbox this will be seen as:

user@host (custm routeros name here) - WinBox v4.1 on RB540G (mipsbe)

Why?

you can already promote your company, and there is no reason to hide the RB name and manufacturer.

I want to hide the RB name or X86, etc.

I have to make integrated equipment for one costumer that needs to avoid showing all the info about the hardware and labels. I have to take off my labels, all cases labels, and all the things I can hide using winbox. This is the literal reference to the board name..

you can use the API to make a special configuration application with your branding and only the features you need. this will also make sure he doesn’t do anything he is not supposed to do
