Max concurrent HotSpot users?

Hi, i need to set-up an hotspot system with ~800-1000 concurrent active users; for wireless connectivity I already have a plan, but for hotspot i have some questions;
someones have a hotspot system with this number of users? i have already used mikrotik hotspot but with 50-100 concurrent users; i will plan to use mikrotik only as hotspot, using a external radius for the AAA.
Someone can help me about stability and sizing of the software? i will use a virtual machine over a blade, but how many cores for the system??how many RAM MBs?

Thanks,

I’ve done 1,800 concurrent users on an RB1100, which is $400, has a single 800MHz PPC processor. Stock RAM of 512MB.

That was with PCQ rather than simple queues, though.

Very good!!
what ROS version?
with external radius?

thanksm

4.11 at the time, I think. Maybe 4.13.

A10 IdSentry for external auth. Should be irrelevant, though.

We have a successfully had over 3500 concurrent Hotspot users on some of our systems. We have some hotspot systems that can process over 15,000 logins per week :slight_smile:

I want to run hotspot on a building that have 200-250 online clinet.
I have 2 RB951Ui-2Hnd.
Could 951 handle 200-250 concurrent hotspot user or I must purchase other device?
