From what I read the CRS326-24G-2S+RM and CRS326-24G-2S+IN are identical switches that are just in different cases. However according to the product descriptions the max power consumption are different. Is this correct? What makes them different?
CRS326-24G-2S+RM = 24W max power consumption
CRS326-24G-2S+IN = 21W max power consumption

Thank you!
It could be just an error and values should be the same but maybe the “bigger” one could draw more power as chasis is bigger and it could work longer with with full power without thermalprotection “slowing” CPU. Maybe it could longer power SFP modules without overheating?
Are these 3W so important?
But the difference should be explained by MT.
some speculation from my part:
maybe because IN version came to the market several months (if not years) after RM, it was validated/tested with a more recent hardware revision, resulting in slinghtly lower power consumption
