Maximum number of EOIP tunnels?

I have an RB493ah with a radio link back to my internet source. One of the ethernet ports on the 493 connects to an ethernet port on an RB433ah which has 2 2.4 ghz radio cards on it.

RB493ah runs OS 3.3
RB433ah runs OS 3.1

both boards run a number of eoip tunnels. The 433 has about 60 tunnels, while the 493 has about 10.

Problem: I lose connection to the 433 when checking it from the internet. The 493 works fine, but trying to get to the 433 often fails. Customers who connect to the 433’s radios also fail. This is random and often just starts working again on it’s own.

Question: Is there a maximum number of EOIP tunnels for V3.1 or V3.3?

Also, I plan to replace the 433 with a board that has V4.5 on it. Any issues with eoip using 4.5?

The manual says the following “Maximum number of EoIP tunnels is 65535” although I dont see the cpu keeping up.
