Maximum speed internet link /Velocidade maxima de link de internet

Good morning , all right?

I have a doubt , how to identify which internet link maximum one RouterBoard stand it? example I have a RB941-2nD ( hap lite) and I wonder what most internet link she stand it? and if there is any way of knowing this information from other RB 's?

sorry my bad english

Bom dia pessoal, tudo bem?

You can easily compare the performance tables on the product pages. For example hap lite can do 100mbit, but of course your settings matters.

But the table refers to local speed and not for output , am I correct in my understanding

Table shows the throughput through the router. Not output /input traffic from the routers point of view.

Exactly , is there any way to calculate what maximum link one RB can handle

afaik it depend on RB’s processor and RAM and i dont know if there is a way to calculate it

If you want to test it empirically, you can measure using bandwidth test against another RB on Internet, provided its uplink Internet line has enough Upload bandwidth.

Use btest.exe from a computer connected to the Hap, not from the Hap itself as that will tax its CPU.

Another option is placing the Hap (Device Under Test, DUT) between two higher powered RBs, like RB3011, RB1100AHx2, CCRs, x86…

TestRB_A ↔ DUT ↔ TestRB_B

measuring from TestRB_A to TestRB_B.

Similarly you can place the DUT between two pcs with iperf and use it for testing/measuring.
