maximum transmit power

i have a RB112 running as an AP, and its current transmit power is set as default. I have clients who are far away and are not getting good signal from the AP. Can i increase the transmit power of my RB112 to enhance this? will this have any effect on the router???thanks, need urgent reply.

default is usually the best. the only other thing you can do is to get a higher gain antenna, improve alignment, or choose a less used frequency.

i would stress that this what normis wrote is the best way of action - what to do in such situation.

or add wireless repeater that will extend the range (of course, if that option is available and will not introduce a lot of additional cost to your link)

may be U can tell us what kind config U have, ex how far?, what kind situation in there ex:downtown or much tree), how many another AP in Your AP scan, what kind of Freq (2,4 Ghz or 5,8 Ghs or another freq), in U R antenna, how much power U have?.
I think with completed config we can solve U R problem.
in my side i have 42,5 km between 2 AP with CM9 and its work til 10 Mb bw test and 500 p/s.

many thing we can try with RB 112 and so depend on how many “crouded” freq in there…

CMIIW…

maybe that is my stupid question, i’m sorry, “how to improve alignment”

twist and turn your antenna until the signal is best

He5x, i think there’re different wae  .. thanks anyway
