Hi, I have one RB951 connected to another router (not Mikrotik) with a DHCP Client assigned in the connected interface.
My question: is it possible for my RB951 to measure the bandwith use of the network? There are other devices connected to the main router and I want to use how much traffic to and from that router I have in the network.
Any idea? Thanks!!
Configure two ports to pass traffic transparently and then unplug LAN cable from “the other” router, plug it to one from ports and connect the second port to main router.
Such bypass let you see traffic and will be/should be transparent for observed traffic.
Physically I can’t do that in this case but only connect my Mikrotik to the switch like any other client of the network, this is why I want to know if sniffing the traffic on that switch could tell me the bandwidth use in the lan…
