Memory Leak with IPV4 BGP

Hi folks.

It pains me to raise this as I’ve spent a few hours reading other posts on the matter, but there doesn’t seem to be an answer/fix/otherwise for the issue.

Basically RB1000 with V4.10 on it, single full table V4 BGP feed (350k routes). Over the course of a month the memory footprint is increasing from 250meg to 500meg when the routing is dying and therefore the BGP session clearing, freeing up memory and the table reloads, although management access via http/winbox is lost until a reboot, but SSH is ok.

I’ve looked over the change logs for since 4.10 and nothing is mentioned ref routing memory leaks.

Anyone care to comment please?

TIA

Pete

There are v4.16 available (not even mentioned all v5.x). Do you really think support will have any other reply to you than - “Please, upgrade to the latest version”

And take a look at top of the forum page:
“Notice: For support from Mikrotik staff, write to support@mikrotik.com - Mikrotik does not generally offer support on the forum, this is a user forum”

After you are done with upgrade you will need 2 supout.rif files, one few min after reboot (without memleak) and other when memleak is obvious - this might save you few days beteen first few replies.

There are several routing changes since 4.10. Nobody complained about BGP memory leaks on 4.16, please upgrade and if you still have memory leaks do as macgaiver suggested.
