mesh wifi

Hi,

I have a sophos firewall with a built-in access point and I have configured 2 wifi, a guest and a corporate. I want to extend the 2 wifi networks throughout the office and I would like to use the mesh. It’s possible? What kind of mikrotik products should I buy?

Assuming that:

  • you have free wired connections on sophos
  • that these connections can be in same networks as wireless nets

You can just add any AP, with same ssid/pass for both wireless nets. If you have some limitations applied to the guest, then you would need to separate the traffic on the additional AP as well. Most likely by creating a vlan for guests and connecting it to your sophos guest network.
