Mesh with wds and hwmp+ unstable

Hello,
I am experimenting with mesh. I will give you generic info and, after your feedback, I will add requested details.

I have made a mesh with 4 mikrotik devices using dynamic wds and also hwmp+ (not rtsp).
One of the is connected wired to internet, others are bridge/repeaters.

Each one is configured as: ap-bridge, dynamic-wds-mesh, hwmp+, no rtsp and a bridge connect the mesh to wired interfaces

The problem is: sometimes all works, sometimes:

  • mikrotik pings each others, wifi clients cannot enter
  • wifi clients go to internt, cannot ping mikrotiks
  • wifi clients get dhcp but without dns (cannot go to internet)

I do not understand why, it seems that, reading the forum, hwmp+ is not stable.
I do not understand also why I must put dhcp on mesh interface and not on the bridge.
Should I remove all bridges and use mesh as a bridge?

Thanks,
Mario

I never used it properly in production but when I was testing I did have that but I found if I leave all mesh settings at default and just add the ports to the mesh. Also I did find that it was best to put the IP address on the mesh interface not the interface. I did have it working well but just in a lab. Also you don’t need bridge. Mesh is instead of bridge.
