Meshing wds wierd problem

I currently upgraded 5 wrap boards to 2.9.30. These are all meshed with 5.8 backbone and outputting 2.4 ap hotspot. I did wipe the configs, but i loaded the same file from previous setup, upgraded and now im getting constant 1-1.5mb transfer and 500k-1m receive on all nodes at any given moment. Wierd part is there isn’t anyone connected to them…I have no clue what the deal is. Very odd imho. Any help is appreciated

Theres def something wrong - How many nodes in the mesh and how many WDS links between them?
Are there multiple paths to each router?
Was it working before? Do you have RSTP running

no, they are setup with the wds bridged, master is bridged with ether+backbone. So each node has an address 10.10.10.x no routes atm and no internet source. Purely between the nodes they are generating traffic to each other. Noticed this because the cpu jumps with the tx rate.

dont fix something if its not broken

OK - when you say ‘mesh’ do you mean a real mesh, or are you just describing a point-to-point link with WDS as ‘mesh’?

And your answer of no - which question of mine does this pertain to?

1.5Mbps traffic sounds like quite a lot if there’s hardly anyone on.

How are the clients connected? Do they have speed restrictions?

:sunglasses:

lol, agreed. I’m going to try downgrading.

rofl, no clients are even on it. This is setup in a lab. And yes, its a real mesh with 6 nodes interconnected. One master in ap bridge, 5 wds slaves, all are registered with each other. This is completely isolated from anyone that could use traffic. So, the nodes are generating this traffic themselves.

Alright, think i fixed it. Didn’t put the bridge in rstp mode. :frowning: sorry about that.
