Metal 2shpn fried?

Hi all

Would you bee so kind to help me on this one?

I recently bought a metal 2shpn which i connected in top of my building with a 12 dbi Tp-link omnidirectional antena.

Along with the usual problem of the metal 2 shpn i already had which are discussed widely in this topic: http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/metal-2-shpn-problem-in-wifi/62216/1

I had another problem with my metal 2 shpn.

The other day I couldn’t connect at all and couldn’t even ping the device. I took it down from the pole to try and connect to it from inside.
I noticed that the metal 2shpn doesn’t power on at all. When i connect the poe , the power light turns green and then immediately turns off.

Is the ethernet port burned? Is the metal fried? Have this happened to any of you guys?
Is there any way i can connect with the device? Any tips or advice to repair it or something, would be really appreciated

Thanks in advance
Olsi

Did you have it connected with STP cable AND using a Ethernet lightning suppressor that were both properly grounded? If not, they are easily damaged by ESD.

Actually no. I used UTP and no proper grounding.

Is there any way i can test it?

In the worst scenario(which i think is probably) is there anything to be done to repair it? Or no hope at all…? :frowning:

Thank you in advance
