Metal 52 ac Bricked?

Fiddling with my brand new Metal 52ac, I seems to have lost contact. Tried to use the reset button but no change, expected it to revert back to 192.168.88.1 as all my other Mikrotik stuff.
Right now I can see it shows up as an AP when scanning WiFi, but claims I have the wrong password when trying to connect. Using ethernet, it does not show up in Winbox, but looking at connections in my router it seems to claim an dynamic IP, and the MAC is correct. I can do ARP MAC ping, IP ping no response. Tried to telnet first via IP and nothing, but via MAC I am asked for user and p/w but get disconnected.

As the reset button seems to do no good, I even checked and yes the mechanical switch is OK.
What next to try?? Hook up to the internal serial port?
This is really really annoying start on my holidays.

So it seems after trying 15-20 times to reset, I finally managed to get it to revert back to factory settings.
Took me a few hours but all is good.

Hey Webdog,

How did you finally managed it? I’m having the same problem here with my Mikrotik Metal.
I can see it in my WinBox but I can not hardware reset the device…

thanks for information. regarding Metal 52 AC. We have configure metal 52 AC. We want to configure it for 3 Km on Ground. what Procedure ? Do you have reference Documents for basic configuration ?
