I have a new struggle setting up a 6Km ptp link using a pair of Mikrotik Metal 5shpn and 2 parabolic 30db kenbotong antenna in a
clean eye view …
signal on the station side is -69 an noise is -49 …
BUT…
all i got is :
authentication time out !
so i changed the modes between this 2 and i found out that
one of the devices ( AP device ) cannot connect to any wireles AP at all and the other ( station device ) can easily
join any wireless aps …
this two are not going to join each other on any condition … any security profile … and not even an OPEN security…
so what I did :
- changing band and freq
- changing security profile
- changing antenna with flat and dish and grid
- limiting tx power from 30 to 20 to 17 to 15
- update os version to 6.15
by the way after 8 years of setting up wifi devices at last im screwed bad…
any idea ?
ps: wifi logs only show : failed to join … by default connecting to strongest …
