Metal2 wds mesh setup problem...

Hi,

I have two Metal2shpn’s (v6.0rc12) that I would like to setup as a wds mesh network (or something that works the same way).
One of the metal2 is connected by wire to a DLink DSL-2730U (adsl modem and dhcp server) and is to function as an ap and link to the second metal2 that is to function as an ap/repeater for the first metal2.

I have tried to set this up as wds mesh network but I can’t make it work properly. I have used http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Wireless_WDS_Mesh as a guide to create the network.

Hey,

I see that you are trying to do EXACTLY what I am trying to set up for a campground. Maybe we can help each other, I anxiously await a response from someone to your question as I would like this set up by Memorial weekend!

If you are just using 2 metals then set both them in ap mode with wds.
On metal1 put ether1 and wlan1 in a bridge, make sure wds bridge interface is set
Repeat on metal2
