Hi,
I`ve put MetaRouter under test on rb2011uas-rm with 6.0rc7.
Problems:
a) when creating metarouter via CLI the size units of ram and disk space aren`t the same (confusing)
b) sometimes, the shutdown of a metarouter takes very long time (minutes), so it seams to be hanging somewhere
c) when stressed it by doing bandwidth and floods, it starts to freeze for several seconds. During the freeze it doesn`t respond to any traffic and not even the console works (the one from the host machine, not a ssh or telnet to the guest). Looks like it is occupied by handling some special IRQs or someting like that and ignores the rest of the world. You need to stress it to see the problem…
d) sometimes i get high packet loss even in low utilisation conditions
e) it is far to easy to delete a Metarouter instance by incident via CLI. There hast to be a security check in form of retyping some keyword or something like that before it can be handed out to production.
Good stuff:
a) the guest crashed hard only once during the test
b) the host didn`t crash at all during the test
Metarouter is one of the killer features of Mikrotik.
Thanks
