Metarouter OpenWRT on PPC (RB1000)

Hello RB fans and lovers,

Im using RouterBOARD1000 routers and I want to exchange experience about OpenWRT feature of RB1000 and other PPC. If any one has very clear instruction to build images for RB1000 or already have ready images, please post here. Im trying to understand about OpenWRT, images, packages, but it`s not easy. Still have many many questions.

i think you will have better luck checking how OpenWRT can be compiled to work on PowerPC arch on OpenWRT forums. Or as mrz pointed out, in OpenWRT article, we have working image for ppc boards.

Im still trying to teach how to compile, what is OpenWRT actually. I have a one more question, below instructions must work for PPC? Because I dont have SVN and have tried to install it, but it show also C compiler needed.

why do you need OpenWRT :slight_smile: ?

Those commands are not intended to run on router itself, you need linux box to run those commands and build openwrt image.

Now I need only 2 things. If my RB1000s with asterisk and snort, it`ll be very very cool. Also maybe other nice openWRT features have.
