Mickrotik repeater, non mikrotik Donar

Hi
I have the following situation,
Smartbridges Access Point,
Want to extend the range using a mikrotik rb500 with 2 atheros cards…

I can connect to the Smartbridges Ap in station mode,but unable to ping AP
I can ping Mikrotik Station from the smartbridge AP
Have setup bridge AP on Mikrotik, can connect to it with my lap top and ping the Mikrotik AP
But i cannot ping from mikrotik to the internet gateway or to Smartbridges AP..

I can ping the Mikrotik Station from the SB AP…

Any ideas would be greatley appreciated…

Read some where that this is not possible to do, can that be right_

Currently feeding the RB500 with a smartbridges client unit and using the mikrotik as an AP with p2p and simple queus, really impressed as i am on a 2way satellite feed, air time bill is down due to p2p blocking!!!

Smart Bridges don’t support WDS! You will have to use NAT on MT end. Other solution is to use another SmartBridges as Client and MT as AP..

Your right the smartbridge xo does not support WDS,
I am using a smartbridge client currently to receive, i have scr nat and masquerade,
Is there another type _

I Did IT ,
Bridged the wlan 2 and then added DHCP server on this interface,
Works a treat, learning,
Maybe not the neatest way to do it , but what the hell it works!!!
