i tried to insert a micro SD in 433AH. first the RB saw the SD, i format it because his status was “invalid”, but after restart…surprise…SD damaged. My computer doesn’t see it. I tried even format utilities: acronis, etc. but still nothing. The card was a new 4GB Kingmax. Solutions?
Perhaps the card is really damaged, that other OS are not able to recognize it.
Try to use another Micro SD card on the router.
Use a real PC for recording data.
I tried a SD card inside RB450G with no success. The card is working with no problems on other machines.
Card corruption, file writing or reading errors, router crash, loose winbox connection, slow read / writes and CPU goes to 100 % everytime during reads / writes.
I tried tftp, FTP and winbox file transfers with the same results each time.
Seems like the hardware and / or I/O driver has not been optimized for data recording efficiency.
Routerboard is good for routing but very bad for data recording. At least for actual hardware / router OS version.
Router OS 5.0 beta2 does not solve the problem.
Yes, firstly it is router, so it should route package efficiently as main task.
Do you test with one big file or many small files?
