MicroSd Cards

Hi

started to use micro SD cards in my CCR (1036+1072).

To my surprise I find I have to reboot the device when i insert the SD card and also when I re partition it.

Have i missed something as this seems very stupid …

I have read that happens when you use one that is larger than 16Gb. I had the same problem when I tried a 64Gb MicroSD card.

Actually I have a question, once the SD card has been inserted and partitioned do you have any problem using the card such as the CCR not recognizing it after (cold)reboot or anything?, I want to move my user-manager database to the card but I don’t want to be surprised by any unexpected access problem to the data and leave my users without service until manual reboot.
I am using the USB to monitor an UPS so it is unavailable and the SD card solution looks more elegant.

No.

So

reboot to recognise
I then ejected and formatted. after the format process finished I had to reboot and then it turned up as disk0 and under /file.

I have moved my logging to disk0/ under file and I have done a few reboots.

I haven’t as yet tested what happens if i reboot with the card not installed. will the logging system still write to disk0/

Great info, thank you, time to buy an SLC industrial grade card, expensive but worth for a 24/7 setup.
