MicroTik 6.29.1 and HotSpotSystem notification heartbeats

Hi all,

Currently I have 3 sites with 3 MicroTik Routers and one of my sites is experiencing a “dropout issue” running MicroTik WebFig OS 6.29.1. The system is connected to hotspotsystem.com running the Wireless cloud controller and reporting a DOWN / UP notification every few hours. I’ve checked the end router equipment and confirmed no issues with the ISP, the connection seems stable so I have ruled out any connectivity issues.

The 2nd site that seems a bit more stable is running WebFig firmware version 6.24 and does not report as many outage notifications.
The 3rd completely stable site unfortunately does not have a PC attached so I cannot confirm the MicroTik Webfig OS at this site.

Would it be worth upgrading the faulty site MicroTik 6.29.1 with the latest 6.34.4?
Can this be done via auto upgrade remotely?
What is the best procedure to run the auto upgrade, and perform a full backup and restore if the upgrade fails?

Hotspotsystem.com says that WebFig OS needs to be atleast MicroTik 6.32 firmware or greater.
http://www.hotspotsystem.com/installation-guide-mikrotik
“- Please make sure your Mikrotik device is running RouterOS version 6.32 at least. You can find more information on how to check and upgrade RouterOS at the official Mikrotik Wiki.”

Could this be the reason for the issues?

Any advise is appreciated, Thanks
