Microtik AP disable torrent

Hi everyone,

at our company we have a mikrotik AP and I recongnized that sometimes the network is slow. I think that some of my co workers use torrent and I want to disable them on AP.

Is there any option how to disable torrent download on Microtik AP ? If yes then how ?

If your AP is working like router, yes, blocking the respected ports on Firewall.

I will use ACL to limit the tx limit for his device

Create some simple queues or queue trees to prioritize your traffic.
In case you want to limit specific type of traffic requires some experience and better knowledge on networking and queue trees is a one way solution.
Just use some simple queues to limit each user’s bandwidth..
This has to be done on your main router…
Also you could change the ap tx limit on the AP…
