Microtik log shows PPPoE user coming online and offline again and again

Hi, we use CCR1009 and we use both Hotspot and PPPoE feature.
Hotspot for all the office customers and PPPoE for all home customers.

Now we have recently started porting the users to PPPoE mode, so we have around 10 PPPoE customers now.

Today I was checking the log and I found two PPPoE customers connections goes offline and online in every 5-10 minutes.

What could be the reason ?

Check the attached image.

User = JS107 and JS113.

Whats wrong ?

This is a user forum. Mikrotik are not obliged to provide support on this forum.

You’ve not provided enough information to help diagnose the issue. How is the PPPoE terminated to the customer? How does it get back to the router? Is this affecting all connections? Is there a pattern to the disconnections?

Only those 2 customers.
Their local connectivity is perfect!

You need to help us, help you.

CPE to router.

CPE has the PPPoE details entered and router has DHCP enabled.

Over Ethernet? Wireless? Bits of string? What is the CPE? Another Mikrotik?

Wireless!
UBNT CPE - NanoBeam M5.

Is ‘dial-on-demand’ enabled on either end of the PPPoE link?

Where is that option ?

I found out, its only happening with clients who are not using internet for a long time.

Like we have 7 users on PPPoE now.

3 always uses it, so they never get disconnected.

But the other 4 users hardly uses the internet, and only those 4 are getting disconnected and connected.

Is there some kind of variable in microtik to set for idle timeout or inactive-timeout or keep alive, something ???

Sorry, Im very new to Microtik, so need suggestions.

in PPP Profile, the keep alive is 900 seconds.

Is that something which we need to change ?

Have a look for dial-on-demand or similar on the CPE

Nothing such in UBNT CPE.

I guess the log is due ti the keep alive of 900 seconds.

Just so you know, you don’t need to keep quoting the post above…

Sorry ?
