I recently bought a MikroTik MQS. Never in my device have the LEDs on the side lighted up, only the blue light inside the device is visible.
Is this normal? Did I just buy some broken device?
I have the same issue and I am constantly losing connection. The only way to regain connection is to reset the thing

Per i led che non si accendono, anche io ho lo stesso problema.
Ho visto che il problema è nel case esterno in plastica. in pratico dove ci dovrebbero essere i buchi per far vedere i led accesi, probabilmente, per un difetto di estrusione del case i buchi non sono passanti.
smonta con delicatezza l'mqs, separa la routerboard dal suo contenitore di plastica e ti accorgi che il problema è nella custodia.
Fai i buchi con un dreamel con una punta da 1,5mm e risolverai il problema.
sarebbe comunque il caso di avvisare l'assistenza tecnica mikrotik del problema, ma non saprei come fare. speriamo che leggano il mio intervento e che capiscano dove stà il problema.

For the LEDs that do not light up, I also have the same problem.
I saw that the problem is in the outer plastic case. in practice where there should be holes to show the LEDs on, probably, due to a defect in the extrusion of the case, the holes are not passing through.
Gently disassemble the MQS, separate the routerboard from its plastic container and you realize that the problem is in the case.
Make the holes with a dreamel with a 1.5mm bit and you will solve the problem.
it would still be appropriate to notify mikrotik technical assistance of the problem, but I don't know how to do it. let's hope they read my speech and understand where the problem lies.
