Hello,
is it possible to migrate all the settings 1:1 from a RB2011UiAS-2HnD to a L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN?
Thanks.

Hello,
only safe way is to copy your configuration is line by line. You can copy configuration 1:1 only when returning configuration to the same device.
It’s not possible … RB2011 has 10 ether ports, L009 has only 8. RB2011 supports configuration directly on switch chips, L009 doesn’t (or has severely reduced set of configuration options). Etc. It also includes new wifi driver which requires config style which is completely different than the old config. Not to mentiin that ROS v7 changed some bits and pieces from v6 in subtle ways.
When it comes to replacing old MT router with a new one (no matter the ROS versions or device models), I strongly recommend to start from factory default config, specially default firewall rule is decently secure without unnecessary bloat. By directly migrating config from device you also copy firewall config, which bases on poorer defaults and possibly includes unnecessary bloat. Unless router admin knows much better ![]()
1:1? No. You should first start by checking the block diagram of the new hardware and make sure your bridge/VLAN config is done correctly for the hardware model.

I don’t know your existing network setup, but I would recommend making eth1 your WAN port (because it’s dedicated path to CPU and makes no sense to put in the bridge), SFP can be your main downlink to a switch or another router etc, the rest is history.
Keep in mind switch chip itself only has 2.5Gbps path to the CPU.
Thanks.
If you would like more assistance with piece by pice migration, post the old config and we can try to help
In general you can migrate 1:1 if the new device has the same ports, you may need to adapt the configuration a little, but in general you can replace an old device with a new one and have the same functionality.
Why is there no tool available for migrating configuration from older to newer Mikrotik devices?
I had a lot of firewall rules inside my configuration. I solved it by replacing the right interfaces but this also could do any stupid tool automatically.
