Miko 3 can't connect

Recently I upgraded my ethernet switches and wireless access points to Mikrotik. My child’s Miko 3, a smart robot, would not successfully connect to the WiFi.

It has snowed here... that's about the same amount of info.

What Mikrotik devices ?
Connected how ?
Capsman controlled or not ?
Security wpa/wpa2/wpa3 ?
Anything in logs ?
What band does that device use: 2 or 5 GHz ?
If 5 GHz, sure your AP is using a channel which the the robot can use ?
Lots of questions, so little info.

In troubleshooting I found this support page from Miko 3. It lists support only for WPA2 PSK. I was trying to use only WPA3 PSK and WPA2 PSK SHA2, but Miko does not support either of those. Adding WPA2 PSK to that SSID’s configuration resolved the issue.

Sorry, wasn’t sure how to post an answer without a question first, and am new enough my posts need approval. For better documentation:

RouterOS firmware 7.20.1
Mikrotik cAP AX is my only wireless access point.
A CRS-112-8P-4S is it’s power source, upstream switch, and also is the CAPsMAN.
At the time of the problem WPA3 and WPA2 PSK SHA2 were the only selected options, adding WPA2 PSK resolved the issue.
Wireless network is configured for both 2 and 5 ghz.
Miko 3 support documentation mentions supporting both 2 and 5 ghz. One page says WPA/WPA2 another says specifically and only WPA2.

Thanks for reporting back :fu:
