Mikrotik 1000

Using unit as a Radius server. Have similar unit in area and is working fine. The new one basically has the same config. Checked all settings numerous times and all check out
The only exception is in the IP route
In the successful router the setting is
/ip route
add disabled=no distance=1 dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=24.82.160.1 scope=30
target-scope=10

In the unsuccessful router the setting is
/ip route
add comment=“added by setup” disabled=no distance=1 dst-address=0.0.0.0/0
gateway=24.82.160.1 scope=30 target-scope=10
Should I edit the unsuccessfful one to match the other?
Other than this difference everthing looks the same.

I just tried pinging thru the router the destination address off the good one on Ether1 ane Ether2 and they both time out

When I try the one not working I get a reply from Ether1 but not on Ether2

It is difficult to troubleshoot the setup from the limited amount of information that you gave.

The gateway address (24.82.160.1) is a public IP that is reachable from the Internet. You should be able to ping that if you are connected to the Internet. I suspect that Shaw Cable gave you that gateway and a public IP address and netmask to use. If so, your public IP address needs to be assigned to the wan ethernet port. It also needs to be in the same network as 24.82.160.1.

Once you have that setup right, you should be able to ping 24.82.160.1 from the RB1000.

The address I can’t reach is the Wirelessorbit Radius IP 69.36.234.20
I talked to them last nite and they told me the problem was with the DNS settings but I’ve checked and rechecked and it is still the same. I sent them a screenshot of the page I get when I try to login. All the settings are the same as the 1000U except for the router IP
The only difference was as noted on this inquiry. Looking for ideas. So the router assigns the DCHP address to the users but can’t seem raise the login page and get out to wirelessorbit to be authenticated.
