I am asking about if Mikrotik 24v 1.2A Power Supply - 24V1.2 can be replaced with plugging directly into a port of DC 11.1V output of a solar home system (≥2000 Sets DC 12v USB 5V home house 60w portable indoor solar power lights)?
But, once I tried unplugging the Mikrotik 24v 1.2A Power Supply - 24V1.2 and plugging it into a port of DC 11.1V output of a solar home system, I found that Mikrotik router didn’t work (did not power on at all)
I need to make router to be running over a solar home system .
On the other hand, when unplugging 12.V 1.5A TP-Link router, and plugging it using a port of DC 11.1V output of a solar home system, the TP-Link router worked well.
How can I make Mikrotik Router 24v 1.2A Power Supply be running via plugging it to a port of DC 11.1V output of a solar home system ?
@chechito asked about router model, not power supply.
Different router models accept different input voltage ranges, some can accept as low as 8V (or even down to 5V over USB), some require much higher voltages. There are many models that can take 12V power supply … but might or might not be able to go lower (e.g. 11.1V).
Thanks a lot,
This is my MikroTik model No and TP link model No

He will be repeating same information again and again. You ask for MT model, he answers with TP-Link model and it’s serial number
I do not know how anyone could expect that plugging MT PSU which is 230V AC → 12V/24 DC converter (depend on model) to 11.1V DC socket could make it work. Some could expect that connecting 12V DC device directly to 11.1V DC solar instalation could work as it is more or less same voltage.
But how 230V AC PSU device is expected to work? No idea. Even if the solution is provided to acooperator he does not try to understand the answer and “connecting the points”. Lack of basic knowledge on “How the electricty works” topic does not help.
