I am currently running a Mikrotik 493G router and want to change to a MikroTik rb3011uias-rm router.
Is it possible to export the config on the old router into the new router? or will I have to setup from new?

Yes. You just need to take care about things that differs. Just paste the configuration script block by block to see and handle possible errors. Use the same version to minimalise the need of manual intervention.
