Mikrotik 5.0rc3 Sata 1TB disk invalid

Hello, I’ve bought new SATA disk 1 TB and unfortunately under tab “stores” my sata2 (sata1 is CF card with Mikrotik) disk is amount 0 and state “invalid” - is it possible to change it or how to use 1TB disk in RouterOS or how much max. GB is allowed in RouterOS? Disk is working OK under Windows XP. I’ve installed 5.0rc3 version of Mikrotik. Second question about max memory - I’ve 4GB, but RouterOS see only 2GB - is it possible to change it? Could You explain it me? Best regards.

yes i have same problem.

i install segate sata HDD 1 TB and under store it shows invalid.

sata HDD works on xp pc but not works on mikrotik .

*) store - allow to use external disks;

but unfortunatley i can not download.

Hell. I’ve seen the same. But this option is for external - so mayby I should buy usb enclosure and plug my 1TB disk into usb port in my x86? Am I right? Best regards.

hi
i upgrade ROS to 5.0rc4 (x86) and its working for me.
now i can see 961.4 GB harddrive.
i m using segate sata 1 TB HDD.

That would be correct as you only have 960 usable to the os.

Hello, I’ve updated to RouterOS 5.0 rc5, but my 1TB Seagate has not been seen yet. I’ve also take it into USB enclosure, but still status is “invalid” - mayby there is a limit >1TB? I will borrow 750GB disk and will check:) Mayby there is a problem with NTFS partition, but I think that it should see capacity (my capacity is still “0”). In BIOS everything is OK (1tb is seen). Mayby I should divide it into 2 partitions - for example 500GB + 500GB and in this way Mikrotik will see 2 disk 500GB each? Mayby Somebody has checked it before me? Best regards.
