Hi I recently had community fibre installed (UK) and wanted to try the 5G chateau I had stored away.
I'm no expert but initially it seemed to work, though the power button constantly flashes red WiFi works, signal strength indicator on the right of the router doesn't.
So I did a netinstall to 7.23.1 and now there doesn't seem to be any wifi and theres only LTE option in this drop down. There was another option here before the update which I was able to select where everything appeared to be working normally.
Is there some kind of bug or did I flash something wrong? Thanks
Just literally installed. I remember they were separated a while ago. Re-installed fw and QCOM ac and seems be working. Also have the option back in the drop down.
Should I change from static to automatic and on windows set the obtain IP address automatically again?

Depends on what you want. Most routers probably provide an IP address to clients through DHCP.

I see in your screenshot photo (why not use a screenprint?) I see you are setting WAN ip address. From the information you filled in it looks like you are mixing up WAN and LAN. Perhaps reset the device to defaults to have a better starting point? And be aware that Quickset is only for initial configuration, afterwards you should forget...completely.
I just want to see how it performs compared against the supplied router. I'm not technical when it comes to networking, just want to bet the router up and working which I now have. However wireless speeds are poor 580Mbps compared to 980Mbps.
