I’m trying to use the Wi-Fi adapter on x86 (RouterOs 6.6)
Now I have a TP-LINK_TL-WN851ND http://wikidevi.com/wiki/TP-LINK_TL-WN851ND
It is a chip AR9227
With him RouterOs 6.6 works not stable. After 5-10 seconds freezes hard.
Tell me, what Atheros chips are supported in Router Os 6.6?

System found it like Atheros AR92xx (851nd was as unknown device).
I coud find more wi-fi points - about 20 (851nd found only 4). But… System hung when I add wi-fi interfice to brige.
Tomorrow I will conduct an experiment with wn851n…
Also USB adapters that don’t work…
Good luck with your attempt to get the supported chipset/card list out from the MT - you’ll likely not get it.
For the mini pci-e I managed to extract two supported chipsets AR9580 (fully tested) and AR9380 (not tested). No other chipsets were not even mentioned and you are supposed just to try and report your findings.

To report on their research.
I tried to use 2 cards: TP-LINK wn851ND 1.0 ( it’s in compatibility list) and TP-LINK WN951N V3.0
wn851ND system does not detect: unknown device and 92xx driver
I might add wn851ND to create a bridge and AP. After 20-30 seconds of operation the system hangs.
WN951N system identifies as a known device .
I can scan the network (the result is better).
If I try to add it to the bridge - the system hangs.
In addition, the system may hang after the start.
I used two different motherboards .
The result is the same in both cases.
I have in one x86 Tp-Link TL-WN851N but don’t know what version of card on some x86 TP-link miniPCI 802.11n card both work like R52n card witout any problem.
I have only problem with TP-Link PCI-E card TL-WN881ND is work unstable.
If if you need when I been on the field can open x86 and make photo of card.

Bought and installed a TP-Link WN851N controller HW V 2.0.
The situation is the same - the system hang.
I contacted the technical support.
They replied that PouterOs only works with chips Atherous
They also were advised to remove the Multi-CPu support in system.
A miracle happened!
Wi-Fi access point is working steadily with TP-Link WN851N!
TP-Link WN851ND controller, unfortunately, does not work.
WN951N TP-Link controller check failed. I passed it back to the store before can test.
But I think that it will also work, as do on the same chip as the WN851N provides

please try to upgrade RouterOS to v6.25 and then make a support file and send it to support@mikrotik.com
