Mikrotik AC vs Ubiquiti - RB 1100AHx2

Would there be any benefits in adding MikroTik ACs to my network ?

At the moment I have 2 x RB1100AHx2 → 2 x Ubiquiti ThoughSwitch → 2 x Ubiquiti AC PRO (I also has some older HP and Cisco POE switch and MSM AC but that is collecting dust)

Unifi controller cant control ThoughSwitch which I am using mainly for the POE, so I have 3 management consoles.

If I add a switch with POE and AC from MikroTik would I then be able to manage it from RB1100?

As you may guess I would like ONE management console.

Which Mikrotik AC is the most power full I am surround by many neighbors and there puny ACs, and a faraday cage is a bit to much - with Ubiquiti I keep there rays away without a tinfoil hat

The only benefit I can imagine is the capsman. Otherwise I would not invest into such huge change unless I would plan some huge development or expect some other advantage that is measurable in money. If you have money for it and just want to play there is nothing against…

Does capsman work with all the AC thinking of wAP and wAP ac - I can see that it needs Level 4 OS on the AC, seems to be the cheapest way to test.

Level 4 is necessary to whatever wireless device you want it to act as Ap with more than one client. It has no special relationship with the capsman other than you can control only those wlans that are on the devices with at least level 4 license to be able to work as access points.

OK and thank you for answers, now to find a MikroTik pusher in Denmark

Not a fan of Ubnt at all. But at this point… capsmanager is pretty far behind UniFi in the tools department.

No wireless scanner is a pretty big deal.

Band steering is a single click.

Rssi settings are per radio per wap.

Trust me… i am trying to shift to Mikrotik wAP ACs. The low price and the fact is mikrotik keeps me working on it.

But if it was just… right now A vs B for a job. I would have to give the edge to ubnt on the wireless.

Says alot as UniFi doesn’t give you so much - AP wise.
