Mikrotik and Linksys Router problems

Hello,

I am using Mikrotik 4.10 as a router and DHCP server for my network. For customer that have a Linksys router, they have to keep rebooting their router every day or every 14 days.

My DHCP Lease Time is 14 days.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to fix it?

in DHCP server make his ip static
there Router change ip ??? that what happen right

The DHCP server is handing out leases with an expiration of 14 days. Therefore, these leases are not static.

Many customer have to reboot their routers all the time to get computers to work again. It looks to me that the customer’s router (Linksys) is not able to renew the lease from it’s WAN port and just locks up. The customer has to then power cycle the Linksys to get it working again. It’s very frustrating for them.

Anyone have any ideas?

The linksys routers on my network have to be rebooted every few days because they don’t renew the IP address from my Mikrotik router properly. Is there a setting in the Mikrotik router that can help fix this?

Thanks

which linksys router and firmware version?

Hi,

Maybe you should install different/other brand (MT is preffered  ) router for one complaining customer and observe what happens.
IMHO Linksys is defective in some way because router should keep assigned IP address and connect to network.
DHCP server on Mikrotik only keeps info on leased addresses and take care of not assignining it to other device during lease period.
