Mikrotik and Radius Mac authentification

Hi,

im new to mikrotik but i am an advanced administrator of many wlan aps. I am used to orinoco APs. All I want is an AP in the 2.4GHz band with radius mac authentification of the wireless clients.

If I only activate the AP with the default security profile everything is ok. I added a “radius” security profile with the radius-mac-authentification checkbox enabled. Radius Server is enabled and running.

After I select the “radius” security profile, I’m not able to connect with my clients to the AP. In the Mikrotik Log I can see that the radius server’s response is ok (radius got access accept). The same situation is working with my orinoco APs. There is no problem at all.

I think the radius mac authentification is too less documented on the mikrotik homepage. Maybe there should be some necessary radius variables in the answer. I don’t know. As you can see in the log I played with some variables but without a working situation.

Thanks for your help!

do you configure wireless auth?

Everythink is working, the only problem which i found out is following:
If the radius server takes more than 100ms time for the answer, the client can’t connect.

My problem is that the sql questions are taking about 300ms currently. The timeout value of the
radius dialog in the mikrotik configuration doesn’t help.

With orinoco ap’s I doesn’t have this problem. They can handle longer radius timeouts than
100ms. Is there something i can configure or is this a bug in the mikrotik software?
