For short distance CPE’s you should use SXT’s either the 5GHz or 2.4GHz depending on the frequency you need. For longer distance you will need something with the proper gain.

If your doing outdoor wireless you really need something that is using a protocol that is designed to deal with some of the conditions that come up with outdoor wireless. One of the big issues is called hidden node (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_node_problem). MikroTik solves this problem with either the NV2 or Nstream protocol but these require that you use a MikroTik at both ends. If you really want to fix your issue you’ll need to replace the AP with a MikroTik as well.

Something like this may be what you need: http://routerboard.com/RBSXTKit
Note that the above link is for an AP with a 90º sector. Having a sectorized AP array is much better as well.

Be warned that no one can recommend wireless hardware without a lot more information because it is very situational… If I asked for a family car recommendation I am sure you would recommend the wrong car for me unless I told you I had 7 children… in which case you probably get a lot closer.

thank for your suggestions
