mikrotik bandwidth test - stopping after few hours

Hello, there!

I have done test of connection between two mikrotiks rb2011-rb2011.
Due to cpu limitations, it was tcp, 50M, one direction test.
Test was started ok, cpu usage reach 100% level, but traffic monitored at eth interface is going stable on 50M level.
10M level of one direction, tcp traffic uses 100% cpu usage, too.

Problem is, that test is stopping after 5-6h of working with no log info.
I have connected my snmp web server to show graphically test (MRTG).

Uptime of both MTs is ~few days, this is not uptime or reboot or power supply problem.

Have you any idea, why it stops with no reason? Should work up to my stopping command :frowning:

Try using UDP.

Maybe the CPU didnt had enough resource to send tcp acks so the tcp session was dropped.

Though thats just my opinion though.

no not use bandwith-test for prolonged tests. Use traffic-generator instead.
