Mikrotik Bridge HELP !

Hello Guys,

I’m fairly new to Mikrotik.

I’m trying to do the following :

I have a GrooveA 52HPn , which I’m using as a Client to pick up an existing Wi-Fi network, so far so good. My problem is that once i get the signal I want to plug the Groove to an RB951G-2HnD and make it work as my local AP. is this possible ? Can it be done on the GUI.

Thank YOU

Set the wireless mode to station bridge.
In the bridge menu, make sure that ether1 and wlan1 are connected to the bridge.

Then configure your 951 the same basic way, except wireless mode = access point bridge, and any other security / wifi settings you want to use.

Hi ,

As ZeroByte said it’s easy , but don’t forget about bridging/routing and DHCP server on your own AP , it’s more secure and you have more control over your own users , such as Qos or etc…

And don’t forget we do not know anything about the Ap. Station bridge is mikrotik proprietary mode that works fine with mikrotik Ap bridge mode on the other side. May happen that there will be necessary to use pure station mode and set nat on the groove…
