MikroTik CCR2116 5th fan for Power area Question

Hello,

I have a spare original MikroTik Chiefly CC4028B12M fan that I removed from my old CCR1032.
I am currently using a CCR2116, and I’m considering installing this fan as a fifth fan in the CCR2116.

From what I understand, the fifth fan is not detected or shown in /system/health on the CCR2116.

So I have a few questions:

Is it possible to control the fifth fan at all?
(For example, via RouterOS, PWM, or any undocumented method?)

The fan is currently running very quietly at below 4000 RPM.
Would adding a fifth fan actually improve cooling efficiency or heat dissipation in a meaningful way?

What about noise?
Would an additional fan noticeably increase overall noise, or could it potentially allow existing fans to run at lower RPM?

Since I just purchased the CCR2116, I’m hesitant to disassemble it unless there is a clear functional or thermal benefit.

I’d appreciate insights from anyone who has tested a similar setup or has detailed knowledge of the CCR2116 fan control design.

Thank you.

Well, clearly (see also this more complete picture of the inside of a CCR2116:

The only function of such an additional fan in that position would be that of cooling the power supplies, it will have NO effect whatever in cooling the "little stoves" (please read as "SFP/SFP+ modules") or the CPU and other chips.

The CC4028B12M should be a 3 wire 12 V fan.

So, get a (completely independent) fan controller like (example only):

and use it to keep the PSU's cool.

Thank you, I just completed it and fortunately the noise is not that loud. Of course, it does not appear in the system/health. I am satisfied.
