Mikrotik Configuration

RouterOS Beginner Basics

I have mikrotik mini router 150, internet link 1 megabit and 170 users (Ip class is this one: 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0).How to setup mikrotik step by step to do:
- dhcp for my clients in intranet (lan)
- nat - routing
- bandwidth limit: download 10 kbp/s and upload 10 kbp/s (is this oke for each user of 170? What do you think ? This got me problem :frowning: beacouse i have only 1 megabit link (download 1024 and upload is 512)
- and to stop users for using peer to peer programs. (this one is killing me)
And i wont for me and my friend that we have full upload and download.
Ours ip adresses are (192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3)

I never used mikrotik in my life. This is my first time and i dont know a sheat about this kind of router. Please, help me to solve this problem. Thank you all.

This is exactly what we DON’T want. If you want to contribute, then add something to the wiki. It serves absolutely no purpose to do this privately.

I dont know how to USE WIki…if any one can guide me then i will be very happy to post it on MT WIKI. Thw howto is complete.

open up a link in the wiki with the name that you want to create, for example:

http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Article_Name

this will create the article with “Article_Name” as it’s title.

Then click on the EDIT button and type away …

I edited your page a bit and changed the URL to something that is more obvious: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Internet_Sharing

Also, when you create a page on the wiki, you have to link to it from another page on the wiki. If you don’t, people will never see it.

Hi Mudasir,
The plus sign in the winbox is disabled,it does not allow me to enter anything.It was working with the red plus sign,now there is no red colour,we were trying to configure through commands and i am sure we have disabled it,is there any way it can be enabled.

In which section is it disabled?

Hi,It is disabled in all the sections,Interface,wireless.Bridge ,ppp and the rest.
