Mikrotik CRS, unreliable in dynamic environment

I dont get why mikrotik wont put STP on their switches. Where i use the switch i have to change the ports of devices connected quite often and after a few days things start timing out until i reboot the switch. When things things timeout the switch itself can be accessed. I really hope that mikrotik can implement STP in their switches as this is a needed feature. Even consumer routers have had this in their switches for a long time.

I’ve always had bad results with routerboard switch chips. When stress testing a switch chip in the RB450G it would only do 1Gb/s total simultaneous instead of 2Gb/s between 2 systems when testing across switch chip(i checked and the CRS doesnt have this problem). A lot of times the switching itself isnt working properly resulting in errors on some switch chip that switch from 1Gb/s to 100Mb/s and other failures including lack of STP. One of the reasons of buying a routerboard is so you dont have to restart it often like you would with consumer products.

Im using a CRS-226-RM with 2SFP+

+9999 for STP. A device without STP isn’t a switch.
