Mikrotik doesn't detect my ethernet card

to normis and everybody,

i’m using pc as my router machine, the motherboard is ASUS P5GC-MX, the new Mikrotik 3.3 still can not detect driver for my on board ethernet LAN card. Please help…

thank you

What is the chipset of the ethernet onboard?

Max

Dear maximan,

the chipset is 10/100Mb Attansic PCIe LAN.
Do Mikrotik not support this chipset?

thanks

i attach some screen shot from resource window

the Mikrotik recognize it, but it doesn’t show on interface list

apparently we don’t have drivers for it. please send us a supout.rif file from this router and we will try to add it.

normis,

where should i send the supout.rif?

support@mikrotik.com

Make sure you look at the approved hardware list, or use known hardware. Routerboard 1000s, etc all work perfectly. http://www.mikrotikrouter.com is another x86 product.

All depends on what you need? What is the goal of the unit?

thanks gmsmstr.

normis, i have send the supout.rif, hopefully it will be added on next release.
thank you.

They do work quickly, and lots of drives get added all the time. I would suggest getting a RB44 or RB44G PCI card, as they will get you going.

gmsmstr,

yes, i hope so. Because this motherboard was already out on 2007.
Thanks

Lots of times its a need basis. If there is not a real need for it, they won’t hop on it too much. You can also purchase Mikrotik based x86 tested solutions. A number of them are out there. I sell some at http://www.mikrotikrouter.com

gmsmstr,

well, i’m sure many people out there having this issue as well and hopefully i’m not the only one that post about it.
i hope mikrotik support would listen about this issue.

still no response from mikrotik team…

normis/janis ? please help…

Any chance they will have this any time soon after 7 years?
