Mikrotik equivalent replacements.

Hello Mikrotik users,

I’m a user deep into the UBNT sphere of things but recently due to ongoing issues with the Edgerouter infinity dropping communication (without resolution from support) and inability to purchase additional poe edgerouters I’m looking now in the Mikrotik world of devices.

I was wondering if someone might be able to give me some recommendations on products that would be equivalent to

Edgerouter Infinity (ER-8-XG)
Edgerouter ER-6P.

I’d say an RB5009 be good for smaller EdgeRouters. The hAPax2 is pretty powerful and cheaper for a lower cost option. Used the previous hAPac2 a bunch – even if only a router, the Wi-Fi is helpful for management.

I’d stick with routers that used ARM chips since they have all features, and seem to be Mikrotik’s focus these days.

Edit: My UBNT knowledge is limited. The Edgerouter Infinity (ER-8-XG) is bigger, not so sure if RB5009 work since it’s only 2.5G
